Some parts of the movie seems a bit disjointed in my opinion but Octavia Spencer's acting is awesome!

Ma's acting was really good... that's it

The movie had a casual creepy element to it - but it kind of died off after a while. If it wasn't for Ma's acting, this movie would've been an utter failure.
