Who knew a sequel to the shining wouldn't suck. Highly recommend! It's a different beast than Kubricks original and some of the recasts are poor but overall it's really good.

not intended to be a horror movie but it scared me and played with my mind!! many scenes at the start which is kinda confusing so don’t be late!

not as riveting as the original but it does provide a closure. still worth a watch though. not scary at all.

This is more of a fantasy thriller than a horror film. Ewan McGregor does a great job as an adult Danny Torrance and Rebecca Ferguson captivates as Rose the Hat. The way the movie was filmed and edited really exemplified a typical horror movie. Doctor sleep includes a constant mist in the settings, there are a lot of dramatic slow panoramic shots, and the music is eerie and impactful.

This is a lengthy movie. It took a while to build up of which some parts are boring. Rose The Hat was awesome to watch. The move overall stands out on its own. A good sequel nevertheless.
