A true story of the life of Marcel Marceau before he was a world-famous mime. Growing up as Marcel Mangel in Nazi-occupied Europe, the aspiring actor works at his father`s butcher shop and has no intention of getting involved in the war. That is until in an attempt to please Emma, the politically active woman he loves, he joins the French Resistance. This leads to him being part of the mission to save orphaned Jewish children from the German Nazi by taking them across the border to Switzerland.
