At a top secret research facility in the 1960s, a lonely janitor forms a unique relationship with an amphibious creature that is being held in captivity.
Some would say that the movie was weird but i truthfully loved it and it definitely is a Guillermo del Toro. Would say the general public won't really accept or understand his style but i really enjoy his films!
Without mentioning the scene which finger being bitten off, a deaf lady with strong determination to save her love from a fish tank is really touching.
Reviews here might be mixed. Pace is slow but it is an art movie. Beautiful touching story with excellent filmology. It does not get awards for nothing
Excellent production design with an intriguing storyline which keeps the viewer's interest from beginning to end. Sally Hawkins' brilliant performance in the movie is also not to be missed.
