A Surprisingly Good Watch

In all honesty, I had heard nothing about this film before it was released. No press, no advertisements, no trailers, nothing. However, the film is at its core a love story with many intricate moving parts around it. It is set in an interesting era at an interesting time during 1970-1980. It is just such a lovely film with many twists and turns but leaves you craving for more. Please go and watch! It is such a good film and would be sad to see it undiscovered by audiences.

amazing cinematography, costumes, editing, accurate historical settings (which was why China Central Government took so long to approved this) .. and of course the actresses ..
