Universal Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a sequel to 2015's Jurassic World and the fifth instalment in the Jurassic Park film series. 

The film takes place several years after the demise of the titular dinosaur theme park, where the animals now roam freely on the island of Isla Nublar. When a volcanic eruption threatens the creatures on the island, Owen Grady, the former dinosaur trainer, must work together with Claire Dearing, the former park manager, and her organisation known as the Dinosaur Protection Group to prevent their extinction.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as Owen and Claire, and are joined by newcomers Justice Smith, Rafe Spall, James Cromwell and Toby Jones. Jeff Goldblum also returns to his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm from the first two films. 

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens in cinemas on 21 June 2018.
