Synopsis

Ila Bêka & Louise Lemoine recount their experience of living inside Danish architect Bjarke Ingels’ award-winning experimental vertical village in the suburbs of Copenhagen - the “8 House”.

Produced like a personal video diary, the film intertwines the wide variety of stories and lifestyles of the building’s inhabitants, exploring how their unique environment has influenced their lives and how they perceive and adapt to their surroundings. The result is a fascinating social and architectural exploration.

While a breath-taking and intimate insight into human connectivity through the power of design, the film also questions the role and ability of architecture in creating collective happiness in modern society.​
