Synopsis

Set in the summer of 1919, in a small town where a war hero is held prisoner in a deserted barracks. His whipped dog barks day and night in front of the door. In the countryside not far from there, a well-educated young woman waits and hopes. A judge arrives to unravel this case and the three characters, along with the dog, converge in the small town.
