Synopsis

Without any particular goals or aims in life, Young-ho has drifted around for most of his youth after failing to get into college thrice. One day, he began to reminiscence about his old friends, sending a letter to one on a whim. In Busan, So-hee receives a letter from Young-ho addressed to her sister So-yeon. On behalf of her sister, So-hee pens letters back to Young-ho and they develop a friendship. Their boring and ordinary lives start to brighten up as they look forward to each new letter from the other person. Young-ho then suggests they meet up on December 31, but only if it rains then.
